final project before baby

While my oldest is out of town, I thought I'd surprise him with a makeover of his dresser. He has a plain white target dresser with no bells or whistles and I thought I'd spruce it up a bit for him. He's a lego lover, so I started by decoupaging mini figures to all of the knobs. Then I took some blue chalkboard paint and painted the last three drawers. Take look!

I've never done much with fabric, because mainly, I can't sew. But stapling? bring it on. I decided to FINALLY redo my kitchen chairs, since the kids have completely mutilated the fabric that was before with stains. Sad to see the Lime green go, but there's plenty lime in the other room still... Here's the old and the new...

Curbside Treasure

Well, since I still have 6 or so weeks till baby, I need to busy myself. Here is the latest trash I literally picked off of someone's curb. Working on it now.

Bread box transformed into shoe box!

I found this bread box at a yard sale a couple weeks ago for $5 and I had to get it. Not for bread, though... :) I painted and lined the inside and am using it to store my son's shoes in our mini mud room. Check it out!
